Hello, and welcome to looking at Lithium Batteries.

They tell us, that after 7 years, if discharged every day, after 7 years, it will still have 75-80% of its life left. With these types of batteries, they weight 1/2 of a normal battery, and last 5 times longer. There is no chance of fire, since the BMS takes care of the charging, and discharging functions. Time will tell, just how long they will last. Currently they can last 20 years, or least this is what they are telling us. Lead Acid batteries are still available, but do the math and see for yourself, just how long these will last. With Lead Acid types, you only get to use 50% of the power, with Lithium you get around 95% duty cycle. Also Lead acid batteries fail early if not fully recharged. Lithium batteries don’t care about being fully recharged.

Victron Energy batteries, these come in two types; one with BMS built in and the other with external BMS (battery management system)

Battleborn batteries– As of now, these are internal BMS type batteries. and the largest one they sell as of now, is a 100 amp hr battery. We have installed several of these on both Boats and RV units. They come with a 10 year warranty.

Enduro Batteries– come from Castle Rock, CO We have done several boat jobs with these and so far been very happy. Unlike the other brands, they are selling models up to 300 amp hr. Here is a link to there website; https://www.endurobattery.com/collections/batteries
