Installed a whole house gen set 20 kw unit with automatic transfer switch. This was a fun project. Completed just in time for the high winds and power shut downs.

This Kohler 8kw gen set, added a after market motor controller, just push the button, the unit pre heats, cranks and starts all automatic. 12/20

SiMarine display, these are multi units, and now in additional to the battery amp hour meter, it now has the holding tank and fresh water tank levels. I used stainless steel sensors, so they should last many years.

This Gen set has seen its better days, for a small unit, its not a repairable part, looks like the whole electric end will have to be replaced. This is why its so important to run the unit every month. Salt air has attacked the winding. The green area shows where salt has done its damage. In addition insulation has started falling apart in other areas.
